Katsuya Team Launches Delivery-Only Restaurant, Krispy Rice, in Miami

Miami locals can now enjoy the brand’s famed spicy tuna crispy rice from home 

WHAT:   

Miami-based startup REEF Technology and leading lifestyle hospitality company sbe have announced the Miami launch of delivery-only restaurant concept Krispy Rice. From the team behind the famed Katsuya restaurant, Krispy Rice is built around the restaurants beloved signature spicy tuna crispy rice and will be operating out of REEF’s network of delivery-only neighborhood kitchens to deliver directly to your door. 

Miamians can get their hands on many new “krispy rice” options at home, from king salmon with yuzu to plant-based truffle avocado to handrolls like spicy hamachi and wasabi in soy paper alongside maki rolls, nigiri and sashimi. Instead of sugar, which is widely used in the making of sushi rice, Krispy Rice uses the alternative monk fruit sugar to season the sushi rice and sauces. 

The Krispy Rice menu, conceived by Chief Culinary Officer Martin Heierling and the Katsuya team, has been in development for over five years. The innovative sushi concept is the brainchild of C3, a subsidiary of sbe focused on expanding the company’s growing roster of ghost kitchen concepts and delivery offerings, and REEF’s shared vision to chart new territory in the growing delivery-only kitchen industry. Together they are transforming the future of dining giving consumers the ability to order high-quality meals at the touch of a button. 

Krispy Rice will be offering various mix-and-match options to build the sushi bento of your dream, all delivered in playful pink packaging made from recyclable materials.
