Together, the two teams are creating a unique Pistons-inspired menu that offers contemporary cuisine and shareable bites. To date, REEF Neighborhood Kitchens operates 120 kitchens serving communities in 18 cities across the U.S. and Canada. The Detroit Pistons partnership marks REEF Neighborhood Kitchens’ first foray into the market, an extension of the brand’s mission to connect communities through the power of food.
As part of REEF’s local hiring efforts, REEF is partnering with the city of Detroit’s Detroit at Work job development program to connect Detroit job-seekers to a variety of exciting job opportunities available within its kitchens business. REEF anticipates hiring upwards of 200-plus employees in the coming months. Positions include but are not limited to prep and line cooks, assistant kitchen supervisors and drivers. Additionally, the partnership with the Detroit Pistons is REEF’s first collaboration with a professional sports team, and the Pistons’ first venture into the ghost kitchen space. Together, they are providing the Motor City with Pistons-inspired appetizers, entrees, beverages and select Pistons merchandise via DoorDash, GrubHub, Seamless and Uber Eats.
