The fast casual concept is partnering with REEF Neighborhood Kitchens to expand nationwide

NEW YORK (January 28, 2021) – Fuku, New York’s favorite fast casual fried chicken joint, is making its Baltimore debut this Thursday, January 28.

Fuku’s menu of sandos, fingers, and waffles fries will be available for delivery through a partnership with REEF, a national network of Neighborhood Kitchens that enables food entrepreneurs, local restaurants, and national restaurant brands to open and quickly expand their delivery businesses.

Fuku’s Neighborhood Kitchen is located in Inner Harbor and will be available for delivery across all major delivery platforms, including UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Postmates. To celebrate the launch, Baltimore customers will receive free delivery via Uber Eats through February 28, 2021.

“We’re thrilled to let our Baltimore fans know we’re finally coming to town,” said Alex Munoz-Suarez, CEO of Fuku. “Through this delivery-only model, we’re able to introduce Fuku to Baltimore in a safe and controlled way, allowing Fuku fans to enjoy it from the comfort of home.”

“Fuku is a staple Kitchens partner for REEF and a brand who really understands the power of culinary innovation,” said Carl Segal, REEF’s COO. “Connecting our Baltimore Neighborhood Kitchens network and Fuku’s fan-favorite sandwiches is a perfect match for the community.”

Fuku started as a secret sandwich at Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City and soon grew into FUKUSANITY when Fuku opened its own store in 2015 in the East Village. Fuku is focused on offering guests approachable, tasty food that draws from both Asian and American influences. Culinary innovation is led by Executive Chef and Maryland native Stephanie Abrams, who joined in 2017.

“Growing up in Maryland gave me a deep appreciation for Baltimore’s food culture, and steamed blue crabs and Natty Boh are a must any time I visit,” said Stephanie Abrams, Executive Chef at Fuku. “I couldn’t be more excited to introduce Fuku to Baltimore and contribute to its growing food scene.”

Fuku recently expanded its footprint to the nearby Arlington/DC area and plans to further expand in the market later this quarter. Fuku is currently available for delivery in Arlington/DC, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Philadelphia, and Fuku’s hometown of New York City.

About Fuku

Fuku is a fried chicken joint from David Chang that’s on a mission to change the way people think about fast casual. Fuku started with a fried chicken sandwich within the original Momofuku Noodle Bar in NYC and has since grown to serve a variety of fried chicken offerings and sides. Guided by many of the same principles that David Chang instilled in Momofuku, Fuku is focused on offering guests approachable, tasty food that draws from both Asian and American influences. Fuku is available for delivery in neighborhoods across DC/Arlington, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, and Philadelphia, powered by REEF Neighborhood Kitchens. Within NYC, customers can visit our Hudson Yards location as well as order for delivery via REEF Neighborhood Kitchens.
